TAKEOVER is a festival where young people under 26 take control of York Theatre Royal for three weeks! This is everything from the programming to marketing to stage management to keep the building running! If that's not enough all under 26 tickets to all shows which are part of the festival are free as part of the A Night Less Ordinary Scheme.
TAKEOVER FESTIVAL 2010/11 will run in Oct '10 and Feb/Mar '11.
Yes you can! All you need to be is aged between 11 and 26. More details can be found by clicking the Get Involved link on the left! And if you don't want to get involved as a staff member then get involved by coming to see as much free theatre as possible!
TakeOver10 Has Begun!
The senior management team and board have been in place for over a month and work is going extremely well. Programming is well underway and everyone is extremely busy trying to get this year's festival off the ground.

We are hoping to create three weeks of exciting, vibrant and diverse theatre that will really draw people in, especially through the FREE TICKET INITIATIVE.
